Weird weird weird animal...

There are 2 weird weird weird animal that i want to share with you...1st,
LEAFTY SEADRAGON
Named after the dragons of Chinese mythology, Leafy seadragons (Phycodurus eques) resemble a piece of drifting seaweed as they float in the seaweed-filled water. The Leafy seadragon, with green, orange and gold hues along its body, is covered with leaf-like appendages, making it remarkably camouflaged. Only the fluttering of tiny fins or the moving of an independently swiveling eye, reveals its presence.

Like the seahorse, the male seadragon carries as many as 150-200 eggs. After being deposited by the female, the eggs are carried in the honeycomb-shaped area (known as the brood patch) under the male's tail for approximately eight weeks. Seadragons have no teeth or stomach and feed exclusively on mysidopsis shrimp. Known as "Australian seahorses" in Australia, they are found in calm, cold water that is approximately 50-54° F (10-12° C). Leafy seadragons have been protected by the South Australian government since 1982.

Second is..KOMONDOR DOG.
Females are 27 inches (69cm) at the withers. Male Komondorok are a minimum of 28 inches at the withers, but many are over 30 inches tall, making this one of the larger common breeds of dog. The body is not overly coarse or heavy, however, and people unfamiliar with the breed are often surprised by how quick and agile the dogs are.

Its long, thick, strikingly corded white coat (the heaviest amount of fur in the canine world) resembles dreadlocks or a mop. The puppy coat is soft and fluffy. However, the coat is wavy and tends to curl as the puppy matures. A fully mature coat is formed naturally from the soft undercoat and the coarser outer coat combining to form tassels, or cords. Some help is needed in separating the cords so the dog does not turn into one large matted mess. The length of the cords increases with time as the coat grows. Shedding is very minimal with this breed, contrary to what one might think (once cords are fully formed). The only substantial shedding occurs as a puppy before the dreadlocks fully form. The Komondor is born with only a white coat, unlike the similar-looking Puli, which is usually white, black or sometimes grayish. However, a working Komondor's coat may be discolored by the elements, and may appear off-white if not washed regularly.

Quagga, Another Extinnct Animal.

Hey Guys...Before this I wrote something about a extinct animal, tasmanian tiger wolf..
It last seen on 1933. We all know zebra right? Horse and such. Quagga? The quagga (Equus quagga quagga) is an extinct subspecies of the Plains zebra. It extinct or last seen on years 1883. That a long time ago...
It was distinguished from other zebras by having the usual vivid marks on the front part of the body only. In the mid-section, the stripes faded and the dark, inter-stripe spaces became wider, and the rear parts were a plain brown. The name comes from a Khoikhoi word for zebra and is onomatopoeic, being said to resemble the quagga's call. The only quagga to have ever been photographed alive was a mare at the Zoological Society of London's Zoo in Regent's Park in 1870.
The quagga lived in the drier parts of South Africa, on grassland. The northern limit seems to have been the Orange River in the west and the Vaal River in the east; the south-eastern border may have been the Great Kei River. It was hunted for its meat and hide, and is one of the many victims of modern mass extinction.
Human all real badass right?

Alien???

What is the first vision about alien that will came across your mind when i said about alien? Big Eyes? Green? Skinny? Naked? Well I guess that common characteristics about them anyway (even there is no solid prove at all). Do you guys have seen E.T.(1982) movie by Steven Spielberg. If u don't...*sigh*.

The world smallest monkey, TARSIER (Genus Tarsius). Characteristics? Alien look a like!! Except it came from earth. Their faces are short, and the eyes, are LARGE AND GOGGLING!! They have long legs and tail, short bodies, and a very flexible neck that can turn 360 degrees? With its huge eyes, long tail, and hands and feet, that must have inspired Steven Spielberg when he created ET.

"Come and see real E.T. found only in Philippines"
-Steven Spielberg

This mammal is like 24/7 on tree even while sleeping and giving birth to the young ones. Main food, insect. This animal not exactly a monkey, scientist still don't know how to class this species. This cute and unique species, can only be found on Philippines, Celebes, BORNEO (proud to be SARAWAK people) and Sumatra.
As usual, this species are threatened and endangered species. This animal never formed successful breeding colonies in captivity. Why? Well, tarsier have been known to injure and even kill themselves because of the stress. Never seen it before? Never know about it? Well u know it now.

Tough Insect??

Its been a long time since the last time i update my blog. Its has been a pretty busy week for me.
I got something interesting to tell my reader. Its about COCKROACHES. I know its
a YUCK and SCARY insect for some people, but it is one of the most perfect insect
that has evolve through time. the earliest cockroach like fossils is found around 354-295
million years ago. This insect can survive even the most extreme condition.
I am not gonna babbling about this insect, i just want tell u what really interesting about them and
why they can live in extreme environment.
-Cockroaches leave chemical trails in their feces as well as emitting airborne pheromones for swarming and mating.
Other cockroaches will follow these trails to discover sources of food and water, and also discover where other cockroaches are hiding.
Thus, cockroaches can exhibit emergent behavior, in which group or swarm behavior emerges from a simple set of individual interactions.
-Cockroaches are mainly nocturnal and will run away when exposed to light.
A peculiar exception is the Asian cockroach, which is attracted to light.
-Cockroaches can live without his head. Well, it maybe takes a week or
two until cockroach die because of starving. Cannot eat obviously.
-There are about 4,000 thousand species, and some of it capable of remaining active for a month
without food.
-Some can go without air for more than 45 minutes.
In one experiment, cockroaches were able to recover from being submerged underwater
for half an hour.
-COCKROACHES WILL INHERIT THE EARTH IF HUMANITY DESTROYS ITSELF IN A
NUCLEAR WAR. Maybe some already hear this phrases, its kinda true though.
Cockroaches do indeed have a much higher radiation resistance than vertebrates, with the lethal dose
perhaps 6 to 15 times that for humans. However, they are not exceptionally radiation-resistant compared to other insects,
such as the fruit fly.

Want to know more?????? Internet is a bank of data, find it yourself, huahahaha. Oh,if u guys got Something interesting facts
that want to share with me, just email me at uchihaitachi_90[at]yahoo.com

Zebra

Usually, when the youngest learn alphabet A-Z, they always thought that Z is for 'zebra'. Do you know why? I am a little bit suspicious also. Just ignore it =)

What you should know about zebra?
-Zebra belongs to Equidae family, the family of horse.
-They can live for 40 years in captivity.
-predators : lion, hyenas, hunting dogs, leopards and cheetahs.
-There are three types of zebras which is two in East Africa and one in South Africa.
East Africa:
-Burchell's zebra also known as plain or common zebras
-Grevy's zebra
South Africa:
-Equus zebra (the mountain zebra)

Zebra live in family groups. When one zebra being attacked by their enemies, the other zebras will face the predators and watch it. They are ready to bite and attack the predators. If one of the family members injured, the rest will encircle it to protect the zebra from being attack again.

There are no two or more people have identical fingerprints. Even they are twins or siblings, the fingerprints will not in the same shape. This cases was similar with the unique stripes pattern on zebras body. No zebras has exactly the same stripes.

Some interesting facts about zebras:
- the Grevy's zebra named after former French president, Jules Grévy who was in power from 1879 until 1887.
- zebras can recognized the other zebras due to the different stripes patterns on their bodies.
- mountain zebras, the expert climbers, take a dust bath almost on a daily basis.
-the zebras coat are very shiny which helps reflect the heat of the sun off them.

Take some times to think about this statements:

Does the white stripes on black or black stripes on white? Or should i ask what is the actual background color of zebra body? Is it white or black? Think about it =)

polar bear

Every people love cute things. In this post i wanna talk bout cute animal ever which is polar bear. Look at the picture, isn't it a cute animal?

The polar bear (Ursus maritimus) is the world's largest land meat-eater as known as carnivore and also the largest among the bear family.

Do you know?
Although most polar bears are born on land, they spend most of their time at sea (hence their scientific name meaning "maritime bear") and can hunt consistently only from sea ice, so spend much of the year on the frozen sea.

I don't want to talk much about this polar bear. You can read it more in this site.

I just wanna share some interesting facts about this polar bear.
1. Only humans prey or hunt polar bears.

2.A polar bear is so strong, that it can kill an animal with one blow from it's paw.

3.Around the age of four or five the female polar bear can start having babies. Their babies are much smaller than human babies when they are born. They are more likely the size of rat and weigh little more than pound.

4.The polar bear's fur is not white because each hollow hair reflects the light.

5. Polar bear fur is oily and water repellent. The hairs don't mat when wet, allowing the polar bears to easily shake free of water and any ice that may form after swimming.

6. Polar bear tends to overheat more than to be cold.

7. Man-made pollution is a cause of death of polar bear.

hot babe from asia

Wahh, seems like very long time i didn't update my blog because i'm quite busy right now with game and sleeping (don't ever say i'm lazy, just say i'm good boy =p). People asking me why my blog full with animal? The extinct animal and so on. It is obvious that i like animal so much. This is because when i see animal i can feel them and they can feel me too (whatever i'm babbling, just ignore it).

just a picture

In this post i wanna share (sharing is learning) some facts bout orangutan. Do you know what kind of animal is that? The word "orangutan" comes from Malay word which is "orang" means "man" and "utan" actually from words "hutan" means "forest". Hence, when we combine it become man of the forest. You got it? This orangutans was so special coz we can only found them in Asia which is Indonesia and Malaysia (im proud to be Malaysian). They are currently found in rainforest on the islands of Borneo (Sabah and Sarawak, and again i'm proud coz i'm Sarawakian) and Sumatra, proved through fossils that have been found in Java, the Thai-Malay Peninsula, Vietnam and China.

Enjoy watching this awesome video..!

Characteristics of orangutans:
-longer arms than other great apes
-hair : typically reddish-brown, instead of the brown or black hair typical of other great apes
-standing height : 4 to 5 ft (1.2 - 1.5 m)
-weigh : 73 to 180 pounds (33 - 82 kg)
-hand : similar to humans hands (4 long fingers and an opposable thumb)
-4 long toes and opposable big toe
-a large and bulky body, thick neck, strong arms, short, bowed legs and no tail
-large head with prominent mouth area

Obviously when we say orangutan or monkey we related it with banana. Why? Well, orangutan love fruit that rich with sugary or fatty. Ficus fruits are commonly eaten coz they are easy to harvest and digest. Bornean orangutans consume at least 317 different food items that include young leaves, shoot, bark, insects, honey and bird eggs.

If you want to see it live, you can cuti2 Malaysia at Sepilok Rehabilitation Center, Sabah. So, don't forget to comment on this post. Tq.

Tasmanian tiger-wolf : the extinct animal

The tasmanian tiger-wolf (thylacinus cynocephalus) was neither a tiger or wolf. This animal looked like wolf with tiger stripes on its back and tail but it was more closely related to kangaroos than to either tigers or wolf. The Tasmanian tiger-wolf was a marsupial.

Marsupials are found almost in Australia and certain surrounding islands such as tasmania. They died out in most of the rest of the world. It is believed that this animal became extinct on the mainland of Australia long ago because it could not compete for food with an introduced species, the dingo, a kind of wild dog.

An unknown disease decimated the remaining population in 1910. By 1933 it was believed that the species had become extinct in the wild. In 1936, the last known tasmanian tiger-wolf died in captivity. It is was called as Benjamin.

Although the species was believed extinct, reports of tiger-wolves in the wild continued. The species received protection from the Australian government, and the search to find any remaining tiger-wolves began. Expeditions in the 1930s, 40s and 60s found no tasmanian tiger-wolf.

However, possible evidence that the species was not extinct surfaced when it was claimed that a young male tasmanian tiger-wolf had been accidentally killed on the west coast of Tasmania in 1961. Had the tasmanian tiger-wolf survived in the wild all those years? Was this young male the last of his kind, or were there more survivors?

marsupial : the group of mammals whose young are born very undeveloped and must attach themselves after birth to the mother's milk glands, where they are usually protected by a pouch. Australia is known for its wide variety of marsupials, such as kangaroos, wombats, and bandicoots. The opossum, found in North and South America, is also a marsupial. Marsupials are known in Europe, Asia, and Africa only through ancient fossils.

Lets travel to Egypt

Egypt is one of the most popular place for tourists to travel. People would love to visit Cairo and the Giza City. This is because one of the seven wonders in the ancient world which is The Great Pyramid of Khufu located here. It is the oldest and largest among three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis. The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the only one that survives substantially intact until now. The other two pyramids are:
  • Great pyramid of Khafre
  • Great Pyramid of Menkaure

  • The Great Pyramid of Khufu also called The Pyramid of Giza or The Great Pyramid of Cheops. It is believed that this pyramid was built as a tomb for forth dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops in Greek). This pyramid was constructed over 20 years period concluding around 2551 BC. The Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years.

Originally the Great Pyramid was covered by casing stones that formed a smooth outer surface, and what is seen today is the underlying core structure. Some of the casing stones that once covered the structure can still be seen around the base. There have been varying scientific and alternative theories regarding the Great Pyramid's construction techniques. Most accepted construction hypotheses are based on the idea that it was built by moving huge stones from a quarry and dragging and lifting them into place.

    How about its height?
Well, it is believed that at the time of construction, the original height of this pyramid was 146.478 metres (480.57 ft). Because of erosion and absense of its pyramidion, the current height of this pyramid is 138.75 metres (455.22 ft).

The pyramid has three burial chambers. The first is underground, carved into bedrock. The second, aboveground chamber was called the queen's chamber by early explorers. We now know it was never intended to house one of Khufu's wives but perhaps a sacred statue of the king himself. The third is the king's chamber, which held a red granite sarcophagus placed almost exactly at the center of the pyramid.

The king's chamber is accessed via the 26-foot-high (8-meter-high) Grand Gallery, which was sealed off from thieves by sliding granite blocking systems.

The Great Pyramid was the centerpiece of an elaborate complex, which included several small pyramids, five boat pits, a mortuary temple, a causeway, a valley temple, and many flat-roofed tombs for officials and some members of the royal family.

Ligers own characteristics from both species. Ligers love to swim which is characteristic of tigers and very sosialable just like lions. However, this ligers only exist in captivity because lions and tigers live in different regions and would never breed voluntarily in the wild. The ligers often has a very limited life span.
